Reading Barack Obama's description of Mitt Romney today reminds me a lot of the meltdown in the George H. W. Bush campaign 20 years ago. You may remember. Bush was describing Clinton/Gore:
My dog Millie knows more about foreign affairs than these two bozos.It was a petty comment unworthy of a president and reflected his frustration with the way his reelection campaign was falling apart. I think the same thing is happening within the Obama campaign right now.

I have thought for the past year that the zero was going to win handily, now I am not so sure. I am still not as sure as you, but it certainly is tighter.
The media "tell" was when Romney both went over 50% and widened his lead in NC and real clear politics switched that state from "leans Romney" to "toss up."
Is there anything factually wrong with calling Romney a bullshitter? Mitt will say anything to anyone at anytime to close the deal and make the sale. He doesn't know the truth from an elephant's asshole.
I've lived in Mass for four decades, and Mitt is a little too usual GOP, nice guy, moderate for me, but....

Stanford, Harvard Law, and more importantly Harvard MBA. Co Founded Bain, came back and rescued Bain. Parachuted into and saved Utah Olympics. Good and fair Governor of Massachusetts and pressured Billy "The corrupt midget" Bulger out. ( His brother, Whitey, was on the FBI 10 Most wanted. Gives you an idea of Mass politics that the Billy, the Democrat head of the Mass state Senate, and THE power in the state, had his brother as the number one murder( 20+ ), including strangling young women 15 feet from the august Senator's house, in the neighbors house. Mass politics makes Chicago look like Little League. Mitt, quietly like a choirboy shattered the intrenched, mob/politics nexus, something 6 other Governors, and the FBI and Justice Department couldn't do. ).
Mitt made his fortune on his own. He didn't inherent wealth.
YOU might not ever like him, but the man knows, knowing( to paraphrase Rumsfeld). Harvard, Olympics, wealth, Governor, broke the Bulger crime family, President. So, yeah, the guys an idiot. Good luck with that.
