Great Recession, Part II

I think it began this month. The evidence I have is purely anecdotal, but as someone on the front line I don't like what I see.

Part 1 never truly ended.

The "Great Recession" will be over when my savings account earns 4% interest.

The Great Recession will be over shortly after Obama leaves the White House. Unfortunately not one minute sooner.

It is purely anecdotal and I admit that my observations could be industry-specific. But I don't think that is the case. I think it is across most industries. If I am wrong, great.

I live in the NYC metro area and commute by train daily into New York's Penn Station. Over the last six months, the amount of homeless people sleeping in the train station has grown exponentially. That's always a harbinger of doom. Lou's right on this one.
