So I keep hearing that his ex-wife is gonna drop a bombshell that will sink Newt's campaign. When the news broke yesterday I was wondering if he was a wife-beater, or a rapist, or maybe he was snorting heroin?No, her bombshell is Newt's a horndog philanderer. Which makes him a hypocrite since he was one of the "family values" people in the 1990s. Which means... this is a non story because we already know that Newt is a horndog philanderer. Sheesh. Is there anyone who DOESN'T know this about Newt? This ain't gonna affect his campaign one iota.
But I did get a chuckle from the picture seen above that has emerged from this.

Leaving aside your political biases, don't you think that an Obama/Gingrich debate would actually be interesting? I do. They may even debate substantively.

A couple of pretty smart policy wonks going at it? That would be better than the crap we've seen so far.
I think Newt going against the teleprompter would be quite the event. Reminiscent of the 80s when Garry Kasparov checkmated the IBM supercomputer.
I think Obama has gained enough experience to do OK without the Teleprompter in a debate.
I would really like to see the Lincoln–Douglas format for this. I think that most of us would, or at least a change from the current format. It would strip out the egos of the useless "moderators" and get down to the meat of the issues.
Newt clearly has the bandwidth advantage on the vast majority of pol's including Barry but thankfully most people instinctively know he is a creepy unremitting ghastly sociopath.
There are limits.
Yeah, I know he's not electable in the general. I just think he'd make the fall debates far more interesting and constructive than they are.
Bill Clinton was a creepy sociopath too. That didn't seem to stop him from being a reasonably decent president, especially compared to his successors.
Nope. Clinton wasn't a creepy sociopath just a plain old garden variety horn dog, which cleared a wide path for Newt's current sex issue. He's toast and always will be because of his nasty smelly creepiness that people instinctively sense.

By the way, Kasparov DIDN'T win.
Of the six games, three were draws, two were won by Big Blue (the computer) and one by Kasparov. So guess that doesn't fare well for our Dwight Schrute lookalike.
I don't get these attacks on people's old photos. I wore a powder blue leisure suit for my HS graduation. That's how we rolled back then.
