How to guarantee Barack Obama's reelection in one easy step

Step 1: Nominate Ron Paul.

Lou, what's your reasoning?

For that to be true, there would need to be more Independents who believe Obama is better than Paul. If unemployment is above 8% and GDP is less than 3%, I doubt it.

Or if Republicans decide to stay home because they didn't get their way (of course, they are the ones asking in Paul supporters to support their guy)

Or if enough minorities and Jews believe the trash that the media is putting out, but there is some speculation out there that it isn't working as the Dick Morrises and Karl Roves would like.

Of course, there's the possibility that Paul would steal some of Obama's votes, especially those on the very far left.

My bet is if we nominate another McCain (which is what Gingrich and Romney are) then it's a slam dunk for Obama. The voters didn't want McCain in 2008 and they won't want him in 2012.

Re: your previous post, Lou, where are your predictions for 2012?

And please, no Mayan Apocalypse crap for the love of God.

If another McCain is nominated then the race will be close. Obama may win. If it is Ron Paul, Obama will be reelected by an 80/20 margin. I will vote for Obama.

No worries about the Mayan crap here.
