Your biggest fear
For years now it seems the biggest fear on the doomer blogs is we'll all wind up working as greeters at Walmart. It's become a cliche, a no-longer witty punchline to whatever snarky comment is being discussed.

As hard as I am working right now, I am looking forward to being a Walmart greeter. I may as well keep working until I am dead, I won't be getting any ss anyway.
Indeed you might not get any SS, not if they means-test it, as some candidates are already talking about.
Yeah, there's a great incentive to saving: Work hard, be frugal, save for retirement... and get your SocSec cut as punishment for your good deeds!
(I think I've heard this talk from Mitch Daniels and Tim Pawlenty. There are probably more, too.)
