Not my ideal choices (I am a fan of Chris Christie), but with the latest buzz it seems that the Red Team may be able to field some viable candidates. Rick Perry and Mitt Romney also have really nice hair. Not John Edwards Pretty Pony hair, but manly Dutch Reagan hair.
Both carry baggage. Perry with the Trans-Texas Corridor, the stupid "Texas can secede" comment and his expensive cervical cancer vaccination proposal; Romney with his Massachusetts medical insurance program. But unless the economy turns around pretty quickly, Obama/Biden will be finished after one term.
For Perry doubters, do not be fooled. He is not a mangler of the English language like Bush and is quite capable of debating a very glib Obama.

Yep the hair is key. The Mormon thing could be a problem though.
I remember some DJ's making an issue when Perry asked why people didn't fill up their gas tanks before evacuating, when he was told that many vehicles were out of gas on the jammed freeways?
Anon, I cut Perry and the state some slack for that. The Rita evacuation turned into a fiasco within 1-2 hours. Remember that evening the weather dudes suddenly changed their forecast and started talking about Houston taking a direct hit from a Category 5. Tie that in with what happened a few weeks before with Katrina and about 3 million people panicked at once. If anyone is to blame it would be Harris County Judge Eckels and Mayor White, who stood together at the press conference and gravely announced that people should get the hell out.
the cartoon bloom county once had a strip showing that the tallest candidate with the best hair wins. It could mean joe biden will have to stay, he's pretty tall.
