The pleasant midwestern town of Joplin, Missouri was devastated by a tornado yesterday. Upwards of 100 people were killed and much of the town is in ruins. Over at the LA Times, some
sick people are commenting on the tragedy for cheap political hits:

Maybe these redneck republican evangelicals will wake up and realize that global warming is the cause of the recent destruction in MO and the flooding in the south. Keep voting for people like Mitch McDumbell who wants to eliminate the EPA so that his coal company masters can more freely pollute the air and water and have more money to donate to his campaign. Why do you think he has brainwashed you idiots into believing that global warming is a big lie?

Republican Shame at 12:42 AM May 23, 2011
How long will it take? how many more cities will be leveled before the dumb stupid ignorant backwards illiterate bone head idiot Republicans who mock environmentalists see the light and finally realize GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL.
Like I said, pretty sick. More:
Now we are all learning what it's like to reap the whirlwind of fossil fuel dependence which Barbour and his cronies have encouraged. Our destructive addiction has given us a catastrophic war in the Middle East and--now--(edited storm) is giving our nation a glimpse of the climate chaos we are bequeathing our children.
Oh, wait. That was Robert F. Kennedy Jr.,
gloating about death and destruction on the Mississippi Gulf Coast from hurricane Katrina. He posted this literally moments before the New Orleans levees failed.

I'm with you Lou. I don't understand the brains of folks who take a tragedy and use it to bash the other political side. I recently read an article on Frontal Lobe Dementia, the signs etc. I couldn't believe the comments. It took no time at all for the crazies to start bashing each other over politics. In that instance, it was hard to say who was worse.
Wow no tornadoes before the age of industry. Who knew? What a bunch of dickheads.
Funny thing is, these ignoramuses are confusing localized weather with climate. Not only are they morally bereft, they don't know what they are talking about either. Even if you believe in anthropomorphic climate change, their comments are non sequitur .
Stupid & evil. It doesn't get much worse than that.
Poor souls who just want attention. Responding is a waste of time as is even pondering their rants.
Yes, cancer, disease, injustice, war, corruption, Justin Bieber, and all of human suffering pale in comparison to this evil.
My heart has gone out to these folks that experienced such a force of nature.
"Deranged" is to kind of a word for the a******s that make this kind of comment.
There is no politics involved here.
None. Nada. No way.
Where does this kind of mind-bending fuster-cluck come from anyway?
lol funny site lmao!!
