Hmmm. So maybe the key to peace in the Middle East is not the annihilation of Israel, but the establishment of democratic principles where the people decide who their leaders are.
Who could have known?
The world will be a better place when this douchebag is pushing daisies.

I am always a huge fan of these dictators wearing military uniforms and calling themselves "general" and such. Why not field marshall?
Better uniform than Sgt Pepper!
He'd probably be pissed that the first thing I thought of when I saw that pic was "Mel Brooks"!
These are frightening times, but I am coming to the realization that this bloodshed may be necessary. What's interesting is how it's spiraling out of control, and the rest of us our powerless. Not saying we should do anything about it, but it's interesting how silent the UN has been.
Sorry Lou, there is no time to protest the bloodshed in Libya. We are too busy up here protesting for $100k per year salaries. Human rights and all that.
The problem i see is that far too many people fail to grasp that pure democracy is an express elevator to anarchy. It is very easy to have too much democracy and have the wolves voting to have sheep for dinner. There are a lot of wolves in that part of the world, and they REALLY like the taste of mutton. Dictatorships were extreme, but absent something like a constitutional republic, they served as a stabilizing influence, it might have been a cruel existance, but it was at a minimum a stable one for the most part. Do not discount the value of stability.
Hey Dan, I think he never got above the rank of colonel! No wonder he's always looking annoyed. :-)
