EETimes:
Up to 100,000 students have been ordered to travel from the central Chinese province of Henan to Shenzhen to take up three-month internships with Foxconn, the world's largest maker of electronic and computer systems, according to a China Daily report.
The students, some as young as 17 years old, have little choice but to comply; the only other option is to drop out of school where many are on vocational courses, the report said. The students were informed on June 17 and were told that they must be ready to leave for Shenzhen nine days later, the report said.
"Interns" being ordered by the government to report to a factory owned and run by a private company. Nice. Think about that next time you bitch and moan about how much your iPhone/Wii/PS3 cost.

But are they getting "free" education?
Where's your community spirit Lou? Don't you know volunteerism and community service projects are also required here to graduate? You racists selfish greedy person you.
Come on your kids are going to love it Lou, 'cause that is where the libs are taking us (a big shout-out to everyone who voted for this administration)...for our own good of course...even if they have to enslave us they will save us because it takes a village to insure equality and cure the white origional sin.
California's got nothing on Illinois:
"The state pension system is a money sinkhole and the most immediate threat. The governor and legislature have shortchanged the pensions since the mid-1990s, taking payment “holidays” with alarming regularity.
The state’s last elected governor, Rod R. Blagojevich,...in 2003, he persuaded the legislature to let him float $10 billion in 30-year bonds and use the proceeds for two years of pension payments.
That gamble backfired and wound up costing the state many billions of dollars. Illinois reports that it has $62.4 billion in unfunded pension liabilities, although many experts place that liability tens of billions of dollars higher."

I thought I read that CA has around 500 Billion in unfunded pension liabilities???
What's so different then under Hillary/Romney/Obama care that Doctors, hospitals, citizens are ordered around. For better health, of course.
Haven't I heard, mostly from the Democrat Party, about 'mandatory volunteerism'?
Come on, lets all pull together under our American helmsman!
Black slaves didn't get sh*t for their labor. Blacks didn't get recognized for all the things they invented either. These college kids get free education and their government takes care of them too. If you are so uneasy about this, then stop buying the Iphone. There goes the media again stirring up controversy. They aren't forced to do anything they didn't know about. That's their socialistic ways.
This can't actually work, I suppose like this.
