Fuera

I'll wager there are a lot of cities like Bell.
Hundreds of residents of one of the poorest municipalities in Los Angeles County shouted in protest last night as tensions rose over a report that the city’s manager earns an annual salary of almost $800,000.

An overflow crowd packed a City Council meeting in Bell, a mostly Hispanic city of 38,000 about 10 miles (16 kilometers) southeast of Los Angeles, to call for the resignation of Mayor Oscar Hernandez and other city officials. Residents left standing outside the chamber banged on the doors and shouted "fuera," or "get out" in Spanish.
It's not (D) or (R), it's about the wholesale looting of hardworking taxpayers by an elite class who get away with it because the nation's news media doesn't do its job. The looting has been going on for years, and only now they're getting around to reporting it?

Good for the residents of Bell. If we're to survive as a country we need a lot more of this.

He could have made twice that in the private sector...selling no doc home mortgages backed by the United States Treasury.

He should of put his wife, his daughter, step son on the payroll and although taken a personal hit, the family in total could of reaped way more in take home pay, gotten pensions, maybe all full disability and of course the benefits.

What a schmuck. I hate incompetent grifters.

It is not what they make...it is what they steal. The French had the right idea a few hundred years ago...when Nancy, Harry and BO say "shut up and sit down", it is the modern day translation of "let them eat cake".

The funny part is he and his kind actually believe they could make as much or more in the private sector.

That's government running a muck. I just hate the fact that they are Hispanic. Says a lot about illegal immigration.

California will be just fine one municipalities like this are forced into Chapter 9.

Salaries/benefits will be cut to the bone, with pension payouts reduced to Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) levels.

Yes, there have been state court rulings in favor of unions and their generous benefit packages, but none of those will matter to a federal bankruptcy court judge.

I agree BK would solve alot, but the people charged with that duty are the ones that would be personally harmed the most by that course.
