It seems to me that race relations are the worst that I can remember in my lifetime. Everyone's calling everyone else a racist. At least, that's what I hear on the news, on the radio, and on the blogs. But on the streets and in the offices we're all just hustling to get by and survive. Regular people have other things to worry about.People like me (and you) are wound tight right now. Not because of race, but because of the economy. I wonder why this old-fashioned racemongering is being egged on.

Maybe identity politics catches on better when people sense that they have serious grievances. Worked pretty well for certain parties between the two world wars.

Dems need to get the vote out and raise money...will only get worse until November. I simply look for the humor in it and remind my self to vote and to get everyone I know to vote the Libs out...everyday I pester people who voted for Obmama about what they caused with "feel good" vote and what harm it has done to their childrens future.

Have to disagree here Lou. Race relations have always been terrible, but they are much better now than in the 60's and 70's.
The good old days, they were horrible.

You are all nuts. Race is better now than ever. What seems to be happening here is, "race baiting". Someone always have to throw some crap aroung and people buy into it. Too bad some folks don't have a brain and can't think for themselves...they always have to start some sh*t. You'd think because white folks can't stand to see a blackman as president.
