Another 90-year-old well on her way to senility and Alzheimer's.
The whole 1920's-1930's crowd needs to die already. They've overseen the decline of the United States since age 30, one disaster after another. They unabashedly steal from their own grandkids nowadays, will tell you that they fully deserve the right to do so, and grow belligerent if confronted about it.
Enough already.
I vote some type of dementia as well.

Hot off the presses: Helen Thomas announces her "retirement". I wonder if it's kind of like the so-called retirement that the poor guy in the cube next to me is having done to him.
As in: I wonder if she knew this morning that she was going to retire today?
I think more than a few of the press corps feels the same way, they just don't talk about it on camera...good for Helen she told the truth about how she feels...wish the rest of the media would do the same so more people would turn them off. She was given the center stage front row seat by her peer group, so to me that is a good indication that her "questions/speeches" during press conferences were in fact a reflection of how that group of people feels and she was their spokesperson.
Helen Thomas spoke her mind and I bet that more than 70% of Americans agree with her. As far as retirement, it's probably the reason why she said it because she knew she would get negative feedback. She should have been gone 20 years ago. She fulfilled her purpose. I commend her.
