Martgage

Calculated Risk just noticed that the Obama administration has a problem with spelling. Some blame this on OCR software. If this is the case, I have to ask: In this day and age, why is anyone writing speeches that need to be scanned in order to distribute to the press? I assume the White House has a copy or two of Word.

"Martgage" is a popular search term for mortgage companies.

I noticed a spelling error reading a wh press release a few months ago. I figured it was a fluke thing. Although it did irritate me because I know they have some bureaucrat webmaster who's sole responsibility is to update wh.gov, for some outrageous payscale. Take some pride in your work. Pay attention to detail. Proofread. Its not difficult.

Man, I'm dyslexic so I kinda have an excuse but even I'm usually careful enough to spell check everything.

You're missing an apostrophe in that "its" [sic] there, Mr. Proofreader. ;-)

These things usually happen in grammar flames.
