I know these police officers are only doing their job, so I am not criticizing them. I do find it funny that Charles Johnson is afraid of the people these police officers are there to "ward off." Those dangerous tea-bagging grannies!

That has to be the sorriest bunch of riot cops I have ever seen. I can't tell where the video is, but it sure looks like anytown, USA. I assume that the cops were ordered by the mayor to dust off all of the riot gear that they had stowed and at least use it once.
I love the calm and relaxed demeanor of the regular cop as he walks nonchalantly right in front of the riot cops as if going to buy a sandwich or something.
We recently had a standoff situation just around the corner from work here in Madison and the cops were able to dust off their weekend warrior stuff and do essentially the same thing, strut their stuff. They ended up tear gassing the dude and arresting him. I am sure that lowered the tear gas inventory here from 10 cannisters down to 9 or something like that.
All I've noticed is their chanting: left, left, left, left, left, left...
Pretty true to the latest American policies, no?
Just scare tatics at this point...anything to get the American people to shut up and sit down as Obama likes to say it.
I'm n aware of only one judge in post war Germany being punished for 'legally' messing up kill the jews/gays/priest/artists paperwork.
He went overboard and was filmed verbally abusing those that were charged.
I don't know of any Soviet judges/police that were punished post glasnost. Nor anyone from Pol Pot.
So, today's lesson, never go against, or mess up the paper work. It, paper, is the world we live in.
My initial thought was the scene in The Blues Brothers where they run down the Nazis on the bridge. I don't usually think bad thoughts about the cops. What would some command wanker have done if they gave an order to move on the tea partiers and some of the cops refused? Or actively impeded the others?
Next up...Free Speech Zones!
