(SACRAMENTO) – The Service Employees International Union (SEIU) California announced today that it has endorsed Jerry Brown for Governor after an unprecedented open and democratic endorsement process. This process allowed for all 700,000 members to participate in selecting the team of candidates that will lead California’s recovery after a long and painful recession that has cost Californians their jobs, their homes, their healthcare and their retirement security.
"Brown is uniquely qualified and unquestionably committed to be the Governor who will lead California’s recovery, and that’s why 700,000 SEIU California members will make electing him our first priority as we lead the fight to rebuild California," said Bill A. Lloyd, President of the SEIU California.
Be sure to watch this. It's deja vu all over again.

I sometimes get the feeling that I am reliving 1977.
Hitler found out about this already: Link
I don't watch all these "Downfall" videos but this one has some good LOLs
Is there anyone in the higher U.S. government born after 1970...?
Good grief, but the middle-aged Boomers and elderly folks have wildly overinflated opinions of themselves. Yeah, what California really needs in 2010 for leadership is a guy born in 1938 (Brown).
I'd give these folks a pass if they were marginally competent, but they've f**ked up practically every societal institution they've touched, in California and elsewhere.
Give young folks a chance! And by "young", I mean people approaching FORTY. :-p
DK oh so rules. I remember buying Frankenchrist and causing a not so minor controversy when I brought it to school to hand over to the guy who went in on me with it and he started waving Geiger's Penis Landscape around homeroom. Ah the memories.
So does anyone know off the top of their heads if Linda Rondstadt is single? I figure if we're going to completely recreate the 70's, they may as well be back together.
Wish I could afford Jerry's Plymoth. What a clasic...hope he stole it...err saved it for the good of the people.
One of the reasons Hitler had slave labor making everything from V2 rockets in caves to pulling turnips in fields was that he didn't want to disturb his domestic support base, German women, whom didn't work like then war women of Britain or the UK.
Public sector unions are unrelenting, and will ride California and the nation down like as if they were on a sled.
I give for US evidence any of hundreds of once productive, tax generating, job generating East coast, upper Mid-American cities that are now just welfare farms, employing union baby sitters. They, the unions, never die. They just kill off their civic host.
Oddly, I actually think Brown has a better, albeit slim, chance of taking on the unions, just like leftist Hitler was the only one to take on Stalin.
Corporate Republicans are white bread wimps and fold like male ballerinas with stomach cramps at the first sign of push back.

I think it is beyond who can take them on. If the money isn't there it isn't there. DC (the rest of us) will throw a lifeline, but that will just buy time.
The RNC would be highly successful in making the government bubble an issue, but as we all know the RNC is stupid. So we'll probably get more GAYS IN THE MILITARY nonsense.
