Can I interest you in a low interest refinance?
If you're a responsible borrower, go for an FHA loan. God knows they need some good borrowers to make up for the deadbeats they've been signing up lately.
What brings about this nesting upgrade? (I assume it's an upgrade.)

NoVa, while I like my neighbors I feel a creeping blight heading our way. A few miles north of us is Foreclosure Central, and it is quickly becoming a haven for Section 8 houses. I don't think I want my kids and I here in 5 years.
Fortunately my parents are selling me their house, the house I grew up in. They are downsizing. Great neighborhood and it survived the 1980s oil bust while many other neighborhoods went kablooey. Since it got through the Houston economic depression intact it has a much stronger chance of getting through the current fiasco than my current neighborhood.
