Get a gun...a big gun would be my first advice. Perhaps the UAW could send over some thugs to help out.
After going to the Fox 2 site, it seems like the best bet is to put a big fence around the city, and then send in commando teams to rescue the few decent people left.
I agree, I hate that racist site. Still, I really feel sorry for people like her. I know if we didn't make my mom move she'd still be living in the house she grew up in on the northside of Pasadena. Not Detroit by any means but it went from very boringly middle class to cars on blocks in the lawn.
I also feel VERY sorry for her. My guess is her and her deceased husband bought the house 40 or 50 years ago and now all she has is her SS money and a worthless house in Fort Apache that's targeted each night. What the hell can you do if you're 80 to extricate yourself? You don't have options at that point.
I hope some action was taken after that news report to evacuate her from that situation.
Wood frame houses can be moved.
Find her a nice lot somewhere safer and start a fund to move her house.

Read the link about another Great Depression, and that was depressing, too.
If we had another Great Depression, we would need another great World War to end it:
1) the war would have to end in unconditional surrender - can't have a war of attrition dragging on for years - too much like WW I,
2) the USA would have to be the only economic power sufficient to launch a new re-building and re-financing of the extensive destruction of someone else's countries,
Otherwise, that new and improved Great Depression might go on a bit longer than anticipated.
racist, this is maybe the human behavior that I hate more in this world, is totally silly and stupid, like the people who practice it.
