Reading one of Mish's posts from this past weekend made me realize that a lot of the criticism aimed at Goldman Sachs is plain old jealousy. And I for one think it's great that the son of the star of F Troop is now the COO of the SEC.

I had not thought of it in those terms, but you might very well be right.
jealousy that the governments point man who used to run the joint plays favorites and bails them out while rival lehman brothers is allowed to fail. jealousy that we bail them out and then also guarantee the bad aig contracts that they are counterparty to at full value so they get a double dip into the treasury, and then within the same 12 months they give out obscene bonuses. No outrage is the word of day, at least from the taxpayer perspective. I think the american taxpayer has been getting the f-u in our face from all these insiders a little too much lately.
