(Sonseed drummer) Nicky Sciarra became district manager of Community Board 7 in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. He died in 1993 after apparently choking on a sandwich.

I've never heard of this band. "Jesus Is My Friend" by Sonseed was rediscovered last year and is hugely popular, spawning remake after remake. For those of you who say Christians don't have a sense of humor, you're wrong.

If the drummer choked on a sandwich does that mean Jesus wasn't his friend? Maybe he's with Jesus now?
I won't delve into faith or criticize it, Rhianna.
I pointed out the sandwich aspect due to the urban legend that Mama Cass choked on a sandwich (false), and here's a guy in the music biz who actually did choke on a sandwich.
I know that part of Brooklyn, and I know the Italian delis in the neighborhood...
Believe me, choking to death on one og their sandwiches loaded with mortadella, prosciutto, provolone, olive oil and vinegar and pepperoncini and the GOOD salami, (as opposed to the lengths of sliced dry catshit that's foisted off AS salami everywhere outside of those East coast Italian Ethnic enclaves), would be a delight and an honor.

The drummer, no less. I wonder how many drummers they went through, hmmm. Reminds me of another legendary band of that era.
