New Texas License Plate

The state rolled out the new plates very quickly. Maybe they're more noticeable due to all of the new "cash for clunkers" cars on the roads.
All states do this now. License plates are selling tools, you see. If you drive to Louisiana, locals will want to visit Texas because of what they saw on your plate. Image, baby.

I hate it. Texas should do something unique and go back to the plates of yesterday.

I don't know how it is in Texas but in Massachusetts the more decorative plates cost extra. So they're a revenue tool for the state government, one that I like because you can opt out.

I finally got sick of the old ones, which looked horrible, and ordered TSRA plates.

The new ones are a step up from the last batch, but a bit too rainbowy. I'd like to see us go back to white plates with only a small texas flag on them.

I loved the old black on orange and orange on black plates of my childhood.

I always liked the sesquicentennial ones myself. Of course, we still had the registration stickers on the plates back then as well.

The ones with the cowboy on the range with the space shuttle flying overhead really sums up Texas. I like it and wish it would stick around forever.
