Just be patient. And hopefully you are young. Then you might have a chance for $200 -- in about 2050. :-) OK, maybe sooner if the dollar goes into freefall and asset inflation (including stocks) makes up for the economic effects the devaluation would have on the company's business.
Actually, Apple stock was just featured in a WSJ article on three overpriced stocks. Sure, the company is profitable, but not enough to justify its valuation. Not at this point, anyway.
The wider question is how many other stocks are in a similar position. I'll tell you now that after this big rally since March (when I had pushed every available penny back into the market) I have been selling off in droves.
I might miss out on further gains, but I'd rather relax for a while with the profits banked instead of worry constantly about whether I'm riding the next mini-bubble in an effort to try and squeeze another 10% out of it.
I have two great kids who I love more than life itself, despite any whining you might read here. Everything else is peanuts.
