What were those mysterious small orbs falling from the sky last night?

No segue. My favorite album during my senior year in high school. Every single remaining 60s Brit pop band became a parody of itself during the 1980s (including the Stones), then The Kinks come along and release an album that sounds fresh and vibrant.

Then The Kinks became big on MTV and quickly melted down into a state of wretched patheticness, a bunch of 40+ year-old guys striving to sound relevant in a new age.
