I drove a '87 Aries from 1994-1999. I bought it in my senior year of college, trading in my pathetic '82 Mercury Cougar which had a constant barrage of problems.
If you've paid attention to the Dodge Aries, you know that a high percentage of them have the bad topcoat. I believe that the UV rays break down the coating until it flakes off, exposing the primer underneath. Mine had the same problem.
I traded in the car for a '95 Saturn which I still own today (broke the 200,000 mile barrier in April). After taking the Aries for a drive, he stepped out of the car with this disgusted look on his face and would only offer me $100. I didn't complain since I thought it was worth $200 on a good day.
I have two great kids who I love more than life itself, despite any whining you might read here. Everything else is peanuts.

Wow, just wow. Did that commercial really say "Aries K-Car" and "I like the cool stuff" in the same breath?
