Brace yourselves for waves of California refugees

Holy moly. You thought things are ugly? Things are about to get real ugly.

Update: Maybe things aren't that bad. California taxpayers will be pleased to know that there are state workers paid to fuss over this, even during the current budget crisis. What could be their job title? Senior Branding Coordinator I?

It may be time for me to send my kids back to my brother's in Wisconsin to go to middle school.

An NBC station there is already recommending it

Chicken - here behind the cheddar curtain we are $6bb in the hole, and it is no laughing matter.

But we aren't on life support yet - people are still buying our bonds, unlike Cali - for now. We should last long enough to get those kids through high school. With a good injection of Midwestern nice to boot.

Well Lou, despite your occasional trips to SF, you openly demonstrate just how little you know about the state. The number one escape destination for CA is Colorado followed closely by Nevada, Arizona, Oregon, and Washington. Moving to Texas, even for a job opportunity as I did, isn't even considered an option by most. Needless to say, once I was permanent hire, I transferred my ass back to CA. I'll gladly take economic meltdown over high humidity and flat land any day.
