I was going to ask about your weather. The national channel needed to add some new collors to the charts just for you. I am safely predicting no rain here for 5 months.
Just 4" of rain out in Katyland, enough to turn my lawn into a spongy mass of goo. Which is cool because I won't have to water for a loooong time. Maybe now the armadillos will stay near the creek since the rain loosened up the soil back there. I am tired of them digging up my flowerbeds every night.
We just missed a big rain band, Scott. Columbus got 13" since yesterday.
Since I took generic benedryl for my allergies, I slept through most of today's rain. But hubby woke me up, and I heard the heavy rain, so asked him how long it had been raining that heavy, since I knew we were saturated from yesterday's storms.
He said it had been raining heavy for a while. So I told him he'd better keep an eye on flooding, then fell back asleep.
Hours later I wake up starving, and he tells me water covered our porch a few inches, and that he had to bring in the kitty babies. Wow, I've always been awake for the other floods I've experienced (but I wasn't on allergy meds then LOL). The babies squawking didn't even wake me, but he covered them so they'd be warm and go to sleep, awww. He put them back on the porch before I woke up.

I have waterfalls pouring off my roof and digging trenches in my nice lush St. Augustine.
Looking out the study window I'm now seeing some pretty impressive streams flowing through my yard.

Drove home in it yesterday and drove home today in it as well. I love the combination of not being able to see and hydroplaning on the belt.
