It's the latest response gimmick when you agree with something someone wrote. You are awarding them points. Get it? And if you really, really agree with someone you can juice it up!

Isn't it clever?Give it a rest. It's about as original as Neil's "Got Popcorn?"

Amen...
+1 ;-)
Confession, I did it a couple times but always adding to the comment as well.
"Got seed corn?"
Lou - yeah, that +1 thing soon will be as played out as the whole "got XXX" line.
Out of curiosity, what the hell did "Joshua Tree" mean. I wasnt on the blogs back when this was en vogue, but Im curious to know.
No complaints about "first", "foist", "murse", and "moist"? Huh.
On the other hand, if I see one more "got popcorn?" post I may scratch my own eyeballs out.
I'm not a big fan of +1 either but, for me, I don't see it as being as common or as irritating as the thirteen "first!", "first?", "damn!", and "where's nemo's monkey?" posts attending each and every new thread...not to mention all of the "new thread!" comments.
My complaints are not confined to CR which I still find value in reading.
On a housing-related note, looks like Casa Dubai is no longer. One of my UK friends is always over in Dubai and loves the place, but looks like the market to Brits is on its face in a bad way.
Fortunately, he never fell for the "buy now or be priced out forever" mantra. Or maybe he just didn't have the spare change for their excellent investments -- like this one, if their site still stays up:
Why invest in Dubai

When it "first" started I was extremely disdainful. Sometimes the best offense is the Russian defense. Nowadays it is just an inside joke. You are probably jealous of other people's mursty firstiness. ;-)

Word to your mother.

Spiky desert plants found in southern California. These were to be inserted into the rectums of really stupid real estate people. Like every other meme on the Housing Bubble Blog, it was funny the first 100 times it was referenced.
