Wonderful! I don't think we get monarchs here. I always thought butterflies were spring creatures though - I guess your climate is just fine for them in December!
My mistake, monarchs have been introduced here but I don't think I've seen one. We have the "kamehameha butterfly" which looks similar so maybe I've mistaken monarchs for those in the past.
How exciting, and pretty too. Keep posting pics 8^)
