Don't look now, Vlad.
Remember a few weeks ago when Putin was gloating over the presumed downfall of America and western capitalism? Due to the credit crunch and collapse in oil prices, Russian commerce is shutting down. Nine Russian airlines have closed shop.

Russian Stock Index == Oil prices.
Russia concerns me. There are people there that still think Stalin was a great guy. He let thousands of people starve because he thought they were opposed to him.
During his reign there was an American reporter living in Russia who only had good things to say about the communist way of life. I've forgotten the man's name and you rarely if ever hear of him these days. He was allowed to travel freely and there was evidence that suggested he had seen one incidence of where Stalin was allowing thousands of people to starve yet he said nothing. Even after his return to America he continued his praise of Russia.
Yeah, whatever. Interavia had a fleet of 7 aircraft, most 70's vintage. They flew to such exotic destinations as Dagestan. Small loss.
Actually, Stalin starved millions, not thousands. The journalist in question was Walter Duranty of the New York Times and he not only lied about the famine in the Ukraine, he won a Pulitzer for his lies.
Here is a brief article about Duranty and his lies.
