Russia is dying

This is the Russia you have heard about but don't see.

I can understand why Putin is so popular with the Russian masses. He says the right things. He promises a return to the glory days of Empire. It doesn't matter that he won't and can't deliver on these promises.

The corruption is astonishing. A handful of oil oligarchs reap billions from state oil deposits and purchase megayachts and castles in England. They bankroll Putin and his machine.

Part 2.
Part 3.
Part 4.
Part 5.
Part 6.

With the upcoming collapse in oil prices, what will Putin do to hold Russian society together? Putin's Georgian adventure was a desperate roll of the dice, I think. He wanted to rebuild Russia's pride and reinflate the collapsing oil bubble. He only accomplished one of those two goals.

Yeah, I know. I said BFN. My personal issues are in stasis. That's my excuse.

I thought these videos were very interesting, albeit incredibly depressing. I also think it's something we in the West will have to deal with very soon. This is a very alarming catastrophe in slow motion.

Who is the idiot narrating? He's obviously pro-communist.

Very interesting videos. I have seen related videos and I am consistently amazed by how little law and order there is in Russia.

If our government was smart we would be subversively fanning the flames of separatist regions in Russia (who knows if it isn't being done already?).

A hundred years of killing off anyone that could think for themselves, and those that could now grabbing what they can. Darwinism on a national scale.

The whole country reminds of a large public housing project, lay-abouts, waiting for the man.

Ah, socialism and the New Socialist Man( and woman ). Congratulations lefties!
